We are seeking an observant and educated individual to serve as a companion/assistant to an elderly gentleman experiencing vision and hearing challenges. The ideal candidate will offer companionship, assist with light exercise and walks, and help with the selection and setup of television shows, audiobooks, online articles, and podcasts.

Location: Los Angeles
Hours: 10-15 hours per week over 3 mornings (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays)
Compensation: $19-$20 per hour
Mileage Allowance: Yes
Key Responsibilities:
Accompany the client on walks and assist with light exercise routines.
Utilize basic tech skills to assist the client in selecting and setting up TV shows, audible books, online newspaper articles, and podcasts.
Read books, articles, and correspondence to the client and engage him in conversation.
Drive the client to doctor appointments, shopping, and other locations as needed (must have a newer model clean car and clean driving record; mileage allowance provided).
Occasionally prepare, pick up, or dine out for meals with the client.
Proactively monitor the client's safety both inside and outside the home.
Qualifications:
Have at least 2 years of caregiving/companionship experience.
Must have or get a Home Care Aide registration
Possession of a newer model car and a clean driving record.
Command of basic tech skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Previous experience working with the elderly is preferred.
Availability for possible afternoon, evening, and overnight weekend stays.
Requirements:
Must provide references.
